What does a typical day in your role look like?
A typical day in my role involves supporting the great team at Appdrawn and the day‑to‑day operations of the business. I focus on creating and improving processes that help the team develop, work effectively, and maintain a positive level of wellbeing. At the same time, I provide support across the business to ensure that operations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, identifying areas for improvement and helping to put practical solutions in place.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Appdrawn team?
What I enjoy most about being part of the Appdrawn team is the strong and constructive culture we've built. There's a real sense of trust, collaboration and openness, where people feel comfortable sharing ideas, giving feedback and taking ownership. I also value the flexibility we have in the way we work and our healthy approach to mistakes, seeing them as opportunities to learn and improve. For me, it's this combination of trust, autonomy, flexibility and great people that makes Appdrawn such a special place to be part of.
What made you choose your current career?
I've always believed that an organisation's most valuable asset is its people. Supporting people to grow, guiding them, listening to them, and being there when they need support has always been something I've genuinely cared about. Being able to turn that interest into a career has been a real privilege for me.
If you weren't working in tech, what would you be doing?
I'm genuinely passionate about the tech world, but if I wasn't working in tech, I would probably be working in the social sector. I've always been drawn to work that has a positive impact on people's lives.
What's your favourite way to switch off after work?
My favourite way to switch off after work is to spend time outdoors, especially hiking. I also love making plans with my partner, going to the cinema, and getting lost in a good book.
What piece of technology/app/platform could you not live without?
I'm probably in the same boat as most people! Since discovering AI, it's become difficult to imagine a day without it. I use it for all sorts of everyday things, from answering quick questions and exploring ideas to helping me think through problems. It's definitely become a part of my daily routine that I'd find hard to live without now.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation, without a doubt! Being able to visit anywhere in the world instantly would be amazing, especially being able to pop over to Watford and see my colleagues.
What is your favourite meal?
I'm a big fan of pasta carbonara, and I have a real sweet tooth for crema catalana. It's hard to beat that combination!
